Why cant anything go right?
So I put the new 700R4 and torque converter in my car and now it has a real bad vibration at idle and when I am stoped in gear. I is nice and smooth when I am driving though. I also noticed the tranny leaks when it is shaking. what could cause this strange vibration? It almost sounds like the vibration is coming from right behind the motor.

maybe the shaking is all that power you got under the hood? my car vibrates at idle and if i rev it to like a lil under 2k it will be smooth. not sure what the problem could be honestly.

Yea same flexplate. Im thinking flex plate cause when I went to bolt the converter to it I had trouble getting the last bolt in as if it was bent away from the converter but I just figured it was cause I didnt have the bolts in the bellhousing yet so i figured the bolts were pulling the trany to the motor but im also thinking it may be a bad converter? I just dont know why the problem goes comletly away when im driving the car it dont make sence! Help!

actualy yea I did and i was kinda wondering if maybe the converter wasnt seated right. I put the converter in with the trany already under the car so im not sure if the slots on the converter lined up were they were supposed to.

Sounds like it might not be lined up correctly-
When I have done them, I install the converter all the way on, bolt the tranny up to the motor. At that point typically there is a little gap between the flexplate and the converter. If there isn't, more than likely its not seated correctly. From there all you have to do is rotate the motor around to install the three bolts.
