OK. ANYBODY THAT CAN GIVE ME AN ANSWER TO THIS HAVE AT IT.

I OWN A 1994 CAMARO V6 3.4 LITER AND THE ALTERNATOR IS SCREWING UP. WE REPLACEDE THE ALTERNATOR TWICE AND WE ALSO REPLACED THE CONNECTING WIRES WAD WEVE WENT THROUGH 10 BATTERIES AT LEAST. THE CHARGE READER IS GOING UP TO 18 VOLTS AND THEN IT GOES DOWN TO 3 VOLTS. IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME WITH THIS PLEASE RESPOND

But honestly in response to your problem, I dont know what to tell you. Have you checked the grounds? You seemingly have enough power to start, although 18 is quite high. I'd need more details before I could really diagnose anything.

umm definatly check your battery grounds or if you have like a huge stereo that is sucking the life out of your car unproperly

i know what u can do just buy a long a$$ extention cord and hook up the charger and leave it that should work

if it's going to 18 volts your regulator is not shutting the alternator off (it's internal) check wiring, have the alternators tested (are you buying new or reman, if reman stop and buy a new one, remans are a complete waste of time and money, as noone actually remans one except an independent shop, and that's if you are lucky)
