Ok, we have different opinons and will never agree. Just to keep us happy with eachother because no matter what you think I still enjoy having all of you here so I'm going to stop posting in this post.

I will after one more point, if they take away one thing because of health concerns that opens the door for other things like driving (how would things get done with electric cars, or some other form of transportation) the whole smoking thing started as a bunch of radicals who wanted to better humanity, then it like a plague (and for teh record I don't smoke)

Cigarettes can cause: lung cancer, cancers of the lips, mouth, throat and larynx, stomach, pancreas and colon, along with cancers elsewhere, Peripheral Vascular disease, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease(COPD, which includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema), heart disease,(harms, blocks and weakens arteries of the heart), heart attack, stomach and duodenal ulcers, cancer of stomach, aortic aneurysms, and strokes. NOT just lung cancer.

And cigarettes do not actually relieve stress, that is an psychological reaction, not a physical. To the body, they essentially do the opposite. They increase your heart rate and BP, and strain your heart and blood vessels. The carbon monoxide takes oxygen from your muscles, brain, and body making your whole body and, especially your heart, work harder.

yes, but that was in regards to what cigarettes can do to a body, since it seems the assumption here is that they only cause lung cancer, and actually help the body relieve stress. It has nothing to do at all with the car exhaust vs. smoking in public debate. Just explanation if what cigarettes can do to someone's body.

im not gonna get into this little discussion. however, kind of a tough break for that woman, however if she didnt know the consequences she shouldnt have tried it. Don't do the crime if ya can't do the time. I bet that country has some of the least issues with drugs just because of how hard the law is.
