B16 Generation 2 In 94 Ls Integra
#31
u shoulda saved a bit more and got a b18, but its no big deal, just enjoy what u got, do i/h/e and have fun with it
later when u got more money just do the 1.8 block and build the head
and if u got a lot more money consider getting another car, i love those old teggies but they are getting old

I would look into adding a turbo kit to that motor and keeping the tranny.
Here's why....you could swap bottom ends and get a shorter geared tranny and it would work good....but really your replacing parts you already replaced, doesn't make much sense. Not very efficient.
You could build the b16 by adding cams, valve train, ported head, CTR pistons...intake, header, exhaust, throttle body, intake manifold...ect. This will make power up top but this combo works best in the lightest possible car with a short geared tranny. Probably still gonna suck in the midrange rpms. So not very effective. (And if your thinking of just doing I+H+E...just don't, ever tried racing in a 92 hatch with a b16 and 4 heavy ppl in it...it's SLOW...your situation would be worse than that.)
By going the turbo route your making the most of the parts you already have. If you choose a larger turbo the LS tranny might actually help. Since you have a b16 replacing the motor if you blow it up isn't gonna be expensive.
Now if you asking me what's the cheapest thing I can do to make it faster....change the tranny.
But this is just my opinion...it's all relative.
