Buying a crotch rocket...
Alright boys, it's nearing summer, and despite the whole removable t-top roof aspect of the Jeep, I have a feeling it won't cut it 110%; I want a bike.
I'm looking at staying between 600-850cc engine displacement.
Here are my main choices:
Yamaha YZF-R6
Honda CBR 600
I know we have a couple guys with bikes on here, any other models you guys would consider? I haven't looked much into Kawasaki or Suzuki (though the motorsports dealer has a Hayabusa and I know I'd kill myself on it).
Give me suggestions. I'm actively looking to buy.

i absolutly love my cbr 600 and im pretty sure brian would say the same thing, i have an 06 F4i and he has an RR and i think its an 06 also but the hondas are great bikes, and i dunno how much track riding u would be doing but the yamaha R6 is WAY to agressive for like normal street riding thats what alot of people say the downside to it is is that they put too much focus on being track ready, just my .02

I've made up my mind.
On Monday, I'm going to go into Blackfoot Motorsports and put down a g-note on a brand new '06 Yamaha YZF-600R (a milder mannered version of the R6) in electric blue.
In this exact color scheme:
So we'll see how she goes when I get her.

Torq,
sorry about not responding to your pm. i opened it one morning and forgot all about it till i saw this thread...sorry bro
that bike looks sick. the nice thing about getting that bike over the R6 is its considered a sport/touring. basically it just means a lot cheaper for insurance
Its the same as comparing hondas 600f4i and the 600rr. the difference in insurance is quite a bit. I pay 160 a month for my bike so anything less than that would be lol
keep us posted on how things go
