Car2Go - ever tried it?

During the autumn I had some problems with my car. Sometimes it couldn't start and it lost some power. It has been in the shop nearly for a month - obviously it didn't occur to them to check the compression in the cylinders. The result was blown head gasket. Oh well..

Anyhow, back to my story. I borrowed my friend's car but I had to give it back after two weeks. So what now? Rentals were too pricey and I do not like the inconvenience of cabs. Luckily one of my friends shared something about Car2Go in Vancouver on his facebook.

Being a hardcore Bimmer fan I used to loath Daimler every second I had the chance, but I must say - boy, those Smarts are really nifty little vehicles. Really easy to park everywhere, quiet and quite spacious for their size. Overall the Car2Go service a great and convenient alternative to owning your own car!

I think thats a really great idea. How funny would it be though if you stopped in a car2go spot at a mall or something and then came out and the car was gone? Taken by another user just finished shopping. They would be thinking oh how convenient, meanwhile you are cursing thinking i know i parked right here. Interesting concept though, i give it that.
