Yeah, to be honest, same happened for me. I bought a brand new $1500 comp last lear hoping I could play source and Doom3. It is a 2.8GHZ dual processor, 1 gig ram, 250 GB hard-drive. Well, it wasn't even close to playing Source. It met every spec, including graphix, but it just wasn't enough. The next day I went out and bought a $200 graphix card (ATI Radeon X700e PCI-express 256mb) ... And ever since I got that thing I've been able to play every new game with the graphix topped out ... including BF2, call of duty 2, half-life 2, CS:S, Need for speed most wanted. Yeah, so my advice would be drop a bill or 2 for a graphix card (ATI or Nvidia) with at least 256 mbs of ram. Then I'm sure you could join us.

Oh, and the HDR lighting is gorgeous on my 19" Sony LCD. Mmmm... lol

My computer is 'old' I built it about two years ago, only thing ive upgraded since then is the graphics card. It 'was' the peak of performance back then, 2.2ghz, 2 gig ram, two 100g hd's, and the recently upgraded geforce 7 550, its a watercooled system. Speaking of monitors, I got a cheapppp one from a friend that worked at best buy, a MAG, some offbrand, but I got a 22" flatpanel for 450 bucks, that was GREAT for the time, I still think it is.

I need to get a better gfx card. I just bought one quick last year for cheap so I could at least play somea games... it was a 128, but now I wanna get a 256 or 512. Ill wait til I save up a lil more. Tigerdirect is practially givin them away right now, damn :banghead:
