Is the dodge neon that bad of a car?

i love my neons so much i have 3 of them 2 95 sohc and a 97 dohc. 1st gen neons are cheap to buy and so are parts, my stock daily driver will eat a eco tec no problem, as will my other cars, anyways i think the neon is a great car
and just has a bad reputation

LOL, this is funny, I just bought a 98 piece of neon. The price was right. $500 for car that has 114,245kms on it. New timing belt and water pump, 4 fairly new tires, black on black 4 door. Manifold and computer change and its an SRT-4 for a fraction of the price. FYI, almost all 4 and 6cyl mopars are mitsu motors. Mopar still can't make anything decent under the 318 or hemis.

Correct me if im wrong, but Mitsu. doesnt make the motors for neons. Dodge made the motors (420A) for the Non turbo Talon/ eclipses which is the only way they're related. I may be totally wrong... but i dont think so.

Team Vision Racing's Sponsored Drivers there you go.
Just wait until im done the swap. Im swapping my 2200 ohv for an ecotec. Its going in november. Springtime when the track re-opens ill have a timeslip to proove all it takes is a few n/a mods to get into the 14s.
Wheres your timeslip buddy? My car currently runs mid-high 16s, and I beat older neons all the time...how do they run low 15s stock?

But in the end...you're still driving a Cavilier. As the saying goes, you cant polish a turd.
