but seriously now that all the domestic guys are paying attention how do you guys expect to keep up on a track course with difficult turns.i kno that theres suspension upgrades u can get but suspension alone cant counteract for the weight that the car carrys with it.U guys used to own the drag strip but now things have changed and imports have caught up so why not jus give the imports the respect that they deserve.

sry 3ni but jake is right, pumping different octane than what your ecu is programmed to accept is not gonna make it faster, it can even be damaging to your motor. Stick with 87 in ur g'am and save your money.

My Take and why Imports get little respect...

I take my Domestic Buick Grand national, I spend countless hours reading every word ever written about performance and combinations, I carefully select the right turbo, and stall convertor I spend over 70 hours porting the heads, have oversized valves installed, spend $600 on forged pistons, gapless rings, another $900 on a huge front mount intercooler, Modified ECM, LS1 MAf and a Maf Translator, Another $600 on a progressive alcohol injection kit,I spend another 4 hours modifying the oil pump and timing cover, more reading to select the right cam, another 10 hours to debur the crankshaft, and clean up the casting flaws on the block, Spend another $1000 to have the block bored out, and have the billett steel main caps installed that cost $300, then the block is align bored, hot tanked, new cam bearings etc. then the easy part, Assembly. paint and install..
Now that it's running, I hook up my laptop to the ecm, and then hook up the LM1 innovate wide band sustem that was $350. and tune the car...

Now my car is pretty fast... hopefully into the 10s but low 11 for sure... we'll see

Now... typical teen age kid with a civic....

Cold air intake. $50
Cool wheels found on gt cars $500
Look at my car... it's "Modded"

the only imports I respect are the ones that run the numbers because the guys who put there sweat and blood into the car just like I have and come up with a great combination.

How can I respect a car with a bigger wing than a cessna????

LMAO... Sunoco 94 doesn't get u better millage I'll tell u that... It being an E10 fuel, the only thing it's good for is if you're driving a car that really requires 94.

I'm pretty sure your Grand Am needs 87 octane (as most domestics)... You putting 94 into it is a complete waste of money on your behalf.

Carbon deposits in your fuel rail? Helps your filter last longer? LMFAO! Stop there please.

Well for the mileage part i may be wrong there because the lower grade fuel burns alot hotter than the higher grade and with my grand am i get 300 km/tank without the s/c trust me it drinks it compared to my galant that get about 550 km/tank, and first off i never said anything about doing this only to my grand am, and with the s/c u need 91 for it to run at peak performance, i also have a 03 mitsubishi galant that requires 91 or else it starts to struggle on the highway, and yes deposits from fuel does build up when using 87 rather than 91, i use to work at stp and they did tests on cars and guess wat came up when using 87.....more deposits, and with the 91 everything was running alot cleaner and performed better. BTW we tested all of this on a pontiac sunfire and a honda civic hatchback of course the civic performed better no doubt about it

Now being supercharged it's justifiable to run a higher octane.

Running any boost with 87 octane in my buick is foolish, this happend once, the kid at sunoco pumped the wrong stuff.got knock at 10 psi, with 91 octane I'm good for about 15psi with 94 octane 17-18psi and alky injection 23-26 psi VP fuels C-16 26-28 psi

Running 91 octane in a low compression n/a car is your choice but IMO it's like wiping before you poop.... it don't make sense...

^^^ how the **** are you still dumb enough to be posting on here, following your "700hp charger, but that was my son, i swear" fiasco.

youre in no position to be asking him to post pictures of his car, when the one you try to claim as your own exists only in your dreams
