Well on one hand when i see people asking for money or homeless people...i think get a job...around here since the hurricane hit, construction companies, roofers ETC are hiring like crazy....and they have day labor around here too so they could have a chance to make money, but on the other hand i feel sad for them...at the gas station this older guy came up to me askin for money, and all i had was 2.50 in cash on me, and i gave it to him..this is the 1st time i have given any of them money...i was feeling so sad i didnt have like at least 10 bucks to give him and i started walkin to my car and the gas station lady came out front and said to him 'quit trying to get money for beer get out of here' and she said to me he does this everyday and buys beer with the money..so i was all feelin sad cuz i thought i didnt give him enough to get somethin to eat, when really he just needed a beer.....weird...do u guys give people money when they ask?

I don't cause i always see them smoking a cigarette and I know it's either going for another pack or some alcohol so it's not something i like to do.

some of the beggars can't get jobs because they are homeless, yes giving them money may let them buy alcohol or whatever, but it may also buy them a hot dog

Wow im a generous person. I've seen a few beggars on freeway offramps. One time I saw a black guy in a wheelchair asking for money and all I had was a buncha 20s...I couldnt say that he'd be like **** boy you rich gimme da dough, so i gave him a 20.

I don't see many beggers around here, actually I can't say I ever have... but I do donate a lot to charity. When I worked at PETsMART, hell even now when I don't, I usually donate atleast a hundred, sometimes $150 depending on the charity we're doing. Here at my current job I went and bought $50 worth of toys for Toys for Tots that we just did... I dunno it's easier for me to spend for charities when I know it's a charity and not an individual person.
