Good Vacation
The trip was great!!
Started in Vegas for Matt's Mom's wedding.Walked around by all of the hotels and casinos and went to Fremont Street at night.
We went to the Imperial Palace which has a car museum.
Our first few hours in California were the best.
Our first stop was Foose which only has visiting hours between 12 and 1:00.We walk up to the gate and a truck pulls up and Chip Foose himself gets out.He was there checking on some parts during a break in filming of Overhaulin. He still took the time to talk to everybody that was there and sign autographs and take pics.
We also met Charlie the painter that left Boyds and Scott that just left Boyds a few months ago.
Next stop West Coast Choppers.Apparently the building next door is where they shoot Monster Garage. It had huge gates with spider webs and an iron cross.in the shop they had offices up stairs where we see Jesse James walking around. We waited fior awhile for him to come down, but decided it was cool enough to just have gotten to see him.He was real busy, but did wave at us.
We went down a couple buildings to his restaurant Ciscos.I looked inside and there Jesse was.He took a couple pics with us and signed a menu.Oh and he called us cheeseheads, lol. Before anybody asks...no Sandra was not around, although I almost did ask,lol
We get to Boyd's shop and find out that Boyd left 5 min. earlier.Ohwell...we look at the actual shop through the glass doors and see Duane and others working. Some guy was there to talk to Boyd,so the girl in the office called him,and said he was on his way back. Before he showed up Duane came up front and we got him to sign something and get a quick pic. Then we met Boyd.
Everybody was very nice and didn't seem annoyed at all by having visitors.
We went to Disney the next 2 days along with stops at the NHRA museum and So Cal.On our last day in town we headed to LA to visit the Petersen Automotive Museum.Alot of nice cars there.
I'm sure to the Calif. people on here this isn't too exciting, but since I don't get out theat way too often,it was for me.
I'm sure there is stuff I'm forgetting about, but these are the highlights.
Here are a couple of pics.

Trust me we know how lucky we were.We couldn't believe it.We really were not expecting to meet anybody, just thought it would be neat to see the shops.
I just wish this luck would have come a little earlier in Vegas while playing the slots, lol

Damn, now that sounds like a fun vacation! Makes me pretty jealous, right there! My new girlfriend has a Firebird herself and is totally into cars and all that, so I've been tryin to think up cool dates that relate to speed, fbodies, and/or GM vehicles... but damn that'd be a sweet trip!
