Help my Wife Find a Job...

I don't usually ask for help much as an individual but there comes a time and place when I wouldn't mind someone lending me a hand.

Help my girlfriend find a job.

She's a qualified secondary school teacher in Ontario. She graduiated UOIT (University of Ontario Institute of Technology) back in June of 2007 and is currently teaching in a public school in UK to gain teaching experience. Before her teacher's college diploma she has a PhD in theoritical quantum and computational chemistry with a university in Hungary. She did her molecular genetics and biology undergraduate degree in the University of Toronto. Between her completing her PhD degree and enrolling in teacher's college she has been a tutor for a solid 2.5 to 3 years.

I know this might sound crazy or stupid but I am just trying to get the word out there and see what insights different people from different walks of life can offer me. One never knows because maybe one of your close relatives is a trustee in a school board or hold a high ranking post in the education system.

Her choices are not limited to public schools as she is also willing to teach in a private school such as Montisori and such.

You can drop me an email at cmatt@rogers.com

I really appreciate any help, insights, and suggestions that you folks may be able to offer me.

Your best bet is to make a resume, and just send it to every posible school. I know last sept. Peel district was hiring some teachers, not sure if they still are, but worth a shot.

Thanks for your input. The problem with most school boards is they put you on what's known as LTO (Long Term Occasional). Sort of like a long term supply teacher. So say you're based out of Toronto and was hired by York as an LTO. Today you could be working in Keswick, tomorrow in Woodbridge, day after in Klineburg; catch my drift? There are times you would only work 2 - 3 days out of a 5 day week which suck *** on morale.

But thanks at lease you took the time to write a response.
