The actual performance numbers for the SVT Contour:
The SVT Contour accelerates from a standstill to 60 mph in 7.9 seconds. The quarter-mile is covered in 15.7 seconds with a speed of 88 mph. In closed-course testing, the SVT Contour achieves a top speed of 143 mph.
On the other hand, 7.4 seconds is usually what the 3800 F-Body will do, and 15.7 @ 89 MPH is the usual quarter mile for those cars. That is with 3.08 gearing and an open differential. Paar has 3.42s has a limited slip diff.
Personally, I say go to the track and race this twit. Then I'll challenge him to a race, where I first tow him down the quarter mile, then he has to run it himself and see if he can beat my time.

Rep Power: 652 Regardless of tests, I've driven one to a 14.9 @93, and have seen a couple run 15 flatt. All of them were bone stock.
As for the 3.8 Camaro, I only have experience with one................
Last year we took Stephs car to the track. It was not pretty. The best that we could get out of it was a 16.5 (I am pretty sure thats what it was).
It had a few things against it compared to a good runing stock car though:
It needed a tune up (had an intermittant miss)
17x9" wheels compared to the stock 16s (it will actually slow a car down a bit, especially an underpowered one),
and probably about 75 lbs of subs, box, and amps in the back.
I rally dont like the SVT Contour, they are a P.O.S, but they are pretty quick for what they are.

I beat my friends svt contour.......there nothing special.
Why is he on a mustang forum anyways? Atleast they didnt say there V6 stang is faster then a maro because there slow as ****.

When one's signature says "Soon to be one of the fastest LT1s around", you normally expect it to already have one. 
And you can't compare Steph's track run to another F-Body. Misfiring? Why did you even run it?? "Hmm, the car is misfiring intermittently, let's see if we can make it misfire CONSTANTLY! Take it down this strip of pavement at WOT!"
