Your high speeds would = my slow speeds. I have found a car can't be pushed on the street until u get it out to a track or AutoX u really have no idea how it handles. There is nothing more exhilarating than coming into a Sharp Decreasing radius corner way to fast dropping a tonne of speed hitting the line hitting peak power pulling out of the corner.

U would be amazed what u think is fast on the street would be a warmup lap. I cant have fun on the streets anymore as I just can't hit the speeds without worries about others!

I Know F bodies can handle. But they have some serious issues to overcome. Live axle, They are a little fat, Brakes heat up faster than an oven due to weight. Steering is slugish aslo still a cool car. I would love an LS1 in a miata maybe one day

My pops is putting a 5.0 from a mustang in his miata. Should be quite the little ripper when it's done. Check it out www.v8miata.ca

You're an idiot. Talking about how well your car handles, then talking about swapping in a boat anchor V8 into the nose of it. Way to preserve the 50/50 weight distribution that makes the Miata handle the way it does. Shows what you actually know.

*cough* 13BMSP *cough*

http://www.funco-motorsports.com/v8_comparison.htm Ls1/Ls6 weight

So the LS1 is no anchor. Infact I recall swapped miata with a 5.0 only coming in 200lbs heavier than a 1.8 BP equipped car.

Actually, the Panache V8 Miata kit, the handling remains excellent. Weight distribution is 54/46 with air co9nditioning and power steering with a curb weight 250 lbs more than a stock Miata, at 2500. Now that is a Iron block V8 think what a LS1 with an alluminum black would weigh what 200Lbs more tops maybe 100.

The motor weighs (LS1) less than 500Lbs with a T56.

Now take a BP add a blower and u add what 35 lbs. Is the weight differance really all that much. The car would still handle add some stiffer rates upfront and ur set.

My car would rape you in a straight line and I mean rape u son! But it is prepped for lapping days not straight line. I do not like 1/4 mile but my car runs high 13's (13.9) More than enough to toast most people on the road.

I just don't bother racing most J bodies as they are a waste of fuel!
your car would be a good run for my '84 cav in a straight line this year as for the twistys I would use something RWD more like your car just a different engine!

yup i agree with you there man, once you go out and take soe laps in you learn your car that muchmore and what you thought at one point was some serious grip means nothing, its when you finally pus the car to its limits in a controlled environment that you fially see what it can do

btw i heard kyle got all pissed off on the phone the other day when he was trying to bust my *****, lol
