#16
go to a big shope become an apprentice... do work for free learn the job and then after a year or two of butt kissin u mit eget lucky n offered a paying job. At 16 no shop is gonna trust you let alone pay you to work on customers cars. If you ask to do an apprentice and wrok for free and just shadow a professional you can learn alot more and if you do an amazing job they will most likely keep you and start you on a pay roll.
either way good luck
either way good luck

oh and
p.s. you are better off talkign straight up to a owner of a shop rather than just leaving ur resume there. The more persistent and annoying you are the more initiative you show the more u will stand out from teh other 1000 16 year olds who want to work on cars.

Dud if you like to work on cars dont get a job in that field. Get a job that you like but you make good money, so you can afford to play around with cars. The pay you get isint that good, and after doing it for like 10-15 years or so your back and what ever els will be screwed over from looking up at cars all day, Most places have no benifits and im sure this list could go on and on. But for a summer job go for it. but at your age you wont get a job unless you know someone, you have to have a g2, drive stick, and youll just be washing cars and oil changes ect. Your best bet would be to co-op at a shop and maby they will hire you for the summer. But really right know your asking for something that you just cant do right know. no dealer ship will want to trust a 16 year old with a 20,000$$ car even if you have a g2, I know how it is i was at that point was just like you except i had a decent resume but anyways good luck

1. this is the worst place to put ur resume
2. i hope you don't ever get serious into street racing now that everyone knows EVERYTHING about you
3. sry to say but that resume sounds pathetic man
4. so u dun't think i'm an ***, go apply at McDicks or Walmart, stick with it a few months, when you have experience make a new resume.

Yo man, what you really need is a cover letter. Just a one page synopsis on why you want the job, your skills and contact info. THEN you put your resumé, I also suggest you segregate it. Have education in a different section. Also have things that relate to the job you are reply to. e.g work with cars, or took auto-shop....
He's got a good point, social networking is very important in landing a job, make friends with the people who work in the story where you wish to apply.
