"McGuinty Gov't To Crack Down On Street Racing"
#16
In the end the police is gonna screw us over with "making a safe place for us to race". Theres gonna be crazy tickets passing. Once you leave that "controlled area" theres gonna be cops on your ***.
Save the time, and go straight to MTO for your tickets.

Word of the proposed legislation coincides with a Brantford woman's 18-day protest walk to Ottawa to argue for tougher penalties for street racers. Andrienne Seggie lost her 21-year-old son Matthew Power to a street racing crash - he was a pedestrian crossing a street in Hamilton when a speeding vehicle hit him.
He was hit by a car, end of story.
Even the Hamilton police said it was not street racing.

Maybe, maybe not. The cops aren't saying for sure that it was a street race, but they're not definitively saying it wasn't either. Whatever it was, one of the two cars driving very fast in close proximity to each other cut his body in half as he walked across a city street.
Think about how fast a car needs to go to be able to do that. Think about what it looks like when there are two cars travelling that fast together.
In any case, you can all go to the trial and listen to the testimony first hand. Then you can all say "it could never happen to me", just like Telesford probably thought to himself until it did happen to him.
At 11:30 p.m. on the night of her birthday, her first born son and a friend had just finished watching the Leafs game on TV and were heading to a pub for a beer. They were moving into an apartment together the next day. That called for celebration.
They crossed at King Street East and Gage Avenue.
"My son made it to the third lane, almost to the sidewalk, when two cars flew out of the intersection. My son's last words to his friend were, 'Look out for that car.'"
That car cut Matthew in two. Witnesses said it looked like the cars were racing.
Andre Telesford, 28, of Orillia was charged with dangerous driving causing death. His next court appearance is March 1. The driver of the other car, a dark Honda Prelude or Mitsubishi, an early 1990s model with a rear spoiler, was never found.
