I thought the early years of the 1st gen were not supercharged. They start in 88 or 89 only. I could be mistaken though.

edit: the 1B version of the mk1 mr2 was in August of 1986 in which the supercharger was added. My bad.

You left the line in second gear eh... that's an awesome way to launch!

Your car is to slow

A GSR would romp you if the driver was capable or maybe even aware that they were racing an MR2. I'm sure you revved up at a stop light like you undoubtly do every given chance. The light turns green, you pop the clutch, the scrambles for traction. Finally you hook up, but, oh no your in second gear and you bog down slightly. Fear not though, the slow honda is 3 cars back, I am the champ, hech I won, I won't even shift to third and just stay at 6000rpm till the next red light opportunity. On that note, I raced a 2005 sti WRX and pumped 4 cars off the light. Guess what? I don't think the sti was givener all she got, if you know what I mean. A 98 GSR would rock you and that is the bottom line.

From that statement alone I can tell that you have no ****in clue what you're talking about, or else you'd know how hard MR2s launch. Even if he left the line bouncing off the rev limiter, he'd still leave the GSR standing still. This is assuming he launched properly, in first gear...

Why would the GSR win? It's A LOT heavier and doesn't have a significant power advantage over the MR2...

Stop being a fan boy and open your eyes, GSRs are slow!
