C5's are absolutely gorgeous, and fun as hell to drive. I'd gladly pic on up over the TA, the only problem is the LS6's in the newer vette's aren't as acceptable to mods as the LS1's are.

If you had driven a Vette and it felt like a luxury car, you were probably riding around in one on an oval track with the softest springs made available for a Vette. Take a test drive in one with Z51 suspension and tell me if you still have the same opinion.

I can't help it, I don't like 90% of Vette's. And the only ones I tend to like at all are C3s. With some C2s.

it is performance, but it's also a feeling there is no american car that has the sportscar feeling (it was invented and perfected in europe) everyone thinks the vette is so great, but up until recently it was the worst performing car in it's catagory, and one of the poorest in it's price range (bmw, and mercedes luxury cars outperformed it) if you've driven a real sports car you'd understand (and jaguar had one until recently so it can have luxury)
For the record, I have driven a real sports car, and as a matter of fact, I own it. It's black, in my driveway, and is a Vette.
