For the record, I have driven a real sports car, and as a matter of fact, I own it. It's black, in my driveway, and is a Vette.

here's something froma quick search
"Cars like the BMW M3 and Porsche 911 are certainly more refined than the Corvette, and if budget isn't an issue, you'd probably find them more rewarding to own long-term. "also "On more tightly kinked and lumpy surfaces, the wide body and relatively low-tech suspension become liabilities."and this was just a quick search, now consumer reviews are high, but non had anything to compare to, sure the vette is fun on straights and big turns (like an oval track) but I got to drive one on a road course and it felt huge and lumbering (hence I say the gp was more fun it turns like a smaller car)

luxury class is put on any car over $40,000 especially when there are no upgrades, there are a few other little things like being marketed towards people over 40 (you have to admit the vette is designed for older men) sports car is hard to truely define as many companies use the term for cars that aren't (honda subaru come to mind) but it should corner well and go straight well comfort is really a secondary thing
