Thumbs down one reason I bitch so much ...

You guys know I bitch a lot . Some of you complain , some of you relate . For those that complain , I got news for you . . . You just havn't been in enough situations to know I'm right .

Well ...

Last nite after reading a post from rabbitman , I decided to share a sad story with you , that will help you see some of the reasons behind my behaviour towards cops , authorities , and other dumb .

It's about a very close friend of mine , who's about 45 now , and has been arround me as I grew up . This is a person that would not hurt a fly , ever exceed the speed limit , or make a right turn on an amber light , very scared and very obedient of the law . Given my fiery character , ever since i was a kid he tried to help me become less impulsive and calmer .

Well it so happened that he lost his job in canada about 3 years ago . And he started looking for a new one but of course , guy over 40 with an accent , part of a weak minority can't find a decent job in here . Not even at fast food places , since I have yet to see one managed by a Romanian .

So he decided to go back to England , the place where he initially lived after leaving Romania . In england same bad luck finding an IT job , but he did manage to find a job in a warehouse , unloading trucks , and was allowed to live in for free in a trailer there .

One day , as he's working his *** off unloading charcoral boxes off a truck . Surprise !!! Customs and Cops agents get in , bust the whole place , find 80 k's of Heroin in one of the boxes and everyone goes to jail .

He had no money for a lawyer ( of course you have no money to get a lawyer , UNLESS you are actually a criminal ) so he was given one by the inbreeds , but of course , one of adequate incompetence .

He was denied bail , because of the very strong evidence against him :

- he was wearing gloves when unloading the truck
- he was using an alias of "Bobby" only because the inbreeds could never pronounce his romanian name .

So he ended up sitting in jail and waiting for a trial . What did this mean . Well he got arrested last year in March . And his trial date was set for late May this year .

He spent OVER a year in jail , just so that they find him not guilty in the end and send him on his way .

What really happened was . There was an ex criminal working with the cops . He was arrested for LARGE stuff in 97 and all of a sudden all his bad deeds were wiped off , and he got released back into the criminal world . This guy setup a double job .

He would setup 80k's to come in through one location , and give the cops somebody to arrest .
At the same time he had 200k's comming through another location , to fill up his pockets ( and most certainly the pokets of a few people up high in the police ) .

Now I can't stress enough how obedient and law abiding this guy was . Not to mention that he's the type of person that when pushed with a finger will fall on his *** . I don't even want to think about how jail was for him

Over here , in Kaka-nada , I tried to do my best , called places to talk about a canadian citizen beeing held in jail without any evidence overseas . Nobody gave a . Some of them when they heard he's got a double citizenship sugested we contact the Romanian embassy ( why work when u can sit on your *** and eat MC Donalds ) , most of them simply did not belive that he's so inocent and REFUSED to even check his situation with his lawyer .

Now ... what would I or him do in this situation .

Well the poor guy got out , and he's just the same , the other day we got a call from some dumb bitch asking US to make donations for the Toronto Police , and he spent 5 minutes on the phone beeing nice to her .

As for me ... I took it seriously .

I figured I'd share this with you , so , some of you , the ones with more brains , find some justification behind my attitude ( this is one story out of many I have , but by far the most ed up ) , and also to warn you about how ed up and unfair the world is ... if you didn't know that allready .

You know , something like this does deserve to be in the newspapers , but ... there's no space in there for this with all these evil street racers like SirChirp

A lot of people get ed over every day. My father-in-law is another one. About 8 months before he was to retire, he fell getting off the bus and broke his arm just above the elbow. He worked at the KW Hospital for 30+ years and ahd insurance through Clarica. However, when it came time for them to cover his expenses, lost wages etc., he got the run aroun for a long time. Because of this, all their savings are gone, and they are constantly scraping for money, and he's now working again, in his "retirement".
Now there is no doubt there are a lot of people ripping off insurance companies, and I realize that Clarica needs to cover their ***, but when a 50 year old man needs to have surgery to repair his biceps and triceps, and reattach several ligaments, that's a huge difference from someone who fell off their office chair and bruised their ego. But they gave him the run around, and now he's got to find work through his retirement just to pay bills. He still cannot lift much and carrying his grandchildren is difficult at best. Our son is almost 3, and he can barely pick him up. His other grandkids are 2 and 4, so in another year he'll be unable to play ball, or what ever that is physical. But according to Clarica, he is able to work, and doesn't require any money from them. Yeah he can work, at Zehrs' cleaning and that is a strain sometimes too.
Any way, lets open this up, and see if we can loosen some people up. Lets keep it clean. Please no Flaming, this is a personal thread, and lets keep it serious.

Here's a story of hope for you.

One day I was helping my mother transport shevles .etc From Ikea. She loves renovating so of course she needed my help to transport and ample amount of long heavy boxes. As we are loading them in the loading dock she trips over the curb falls and his her head on the bench'sthey have located right beside the curb. Of course me not knowing what to do I was in shock. But seconds pass by and i see people comming to her aid. Random people. A younger man in his early 20's and a man in his 40-50's. They immediatly found and employee who worked there and made him call for the medic. Medic came gave alot of ice, she was ok. A little blood but ok. And as I was talking to the medic giving our information those men where putting in the boxes we purchased , they where pretty heavy, this is where i noticed a young girl(10ish) was strugling with one of them to put it in.

Now I'm a firm belivier of DTA dont trust anyone. But when Random people you never met and will never meet again come to your assistance, it just reasures me that as a society we are still not doomed, but we are just in need of inspiration. Seeing that little girl putting all her effort just to help out made me realize it's time for me to stop being so selfish and help out in my community.

This story might not mean much, but there are injustices everywhere in the world and people only see the bad part of life mainly. But everyone needs to stop and smell the roses.
Literaly.

people help other people in lots of places .

i mean it's only natural to do so , there would be something really wrong with a society were people don't help eachother ...

and that just led my thoughts to another unfortunate event

And this is I guess a lot worse , just not that personal for me . But I do take it personally

So I used to go to East York Collegiate for a while . Eventually droped out , teachers were too dumb for me , but I still heard storyes from it .

One day , some Tamil gangstaz were beeing complete ******** with some girls arrond the school . A greek gentelman walked up to them and defended the girls . They told him he will get it .

A few days later , one of the lil gangstaz brothers came with like 20 other gangstaz with socks on their heads and ( not OVER their face , just those socks that they wear as some sort of stylish gangsta look ) . They went after the greek gentelman . When he saw them he ran . They ran after him . They caught him , stabbed him in the open street at Coxwell and Cosburn , in front of the school , then left . Hundreds of kids saw them , nobody jumped in , nobody even came up to be a witness .

The greek kid is dead . 17 year old ( this 2 years after tamils cut off another greeks guy's arm in front of the school ) . The killer and his friends walks free , driving his Hummer arround . EVERYBODY knows who he is ... But I don't belive he once got questioned by the police .

How's that for smelling some roses ... also brings back my point about how useless cops really are .

I take this personal , because I would have done the same thing if I were that kid . RIP

i really hope your dad's ok .

Yea that's another bullshit in canada , how they yell out loud that health care is free , but forget to mention that the serious problems are not covered , and most doctors are incompetent .

And to stick behind my accusations , i'd like to mention that at 16 i had a broken meniscus , was seen by 3 doctors , and was told to go home and rest . None of them knew my meniscus was broken , but I knew , they just kept on contradicting me . The nicest sorry about this was when one day , it hurt so bad i could barely walk , I made an appt for 1:30 at the docs , went there , the doc had gone on lunch and I had no place to sit down . Nobody gave a , so I sat for 30 minutes in one leg , just for the doc to tell me everything is fine i should go home and rest . Eventually the problem got fixed later on when I went to Romania for a bit .

The second story , is when I was arround 18 , and I had asma . I smoked too much in Romania , and found myself here , in the middle of a soccer game not beeing able to breathe . Same thing , I saw 5 doctors . 4 told me it will go away , DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TESTING , because that would take time .
The 5th one also said it's all ok , but i said : NO YOU ARE TESTING ME NOW . He tested me , turns out I did have asma . He gave me a prescription for pufffers and because the problem got detected so early , I was fine in half a year . Good thing i'm such a good doctor .

BTW , I do some things for sunnybrook now . I see people comming in for cancer treatment . People that can barely walk and talk .

guess what ... the parking is 10$ / hour .

what's the logic behind this : "ohh poor you , u are sick and u're dying ... well might aswell leave us a lot of money in that case , you won't need them"

my advice to you ppl is ...

don't get sick in canada .

the alternative is . Start paying a large monthly amount to some insurance company and hope they won't screw you and hope that if they don't , u're lucky enough to end up with a competent doctor .

oh wait i forgot about the back problem .

Last year I had a back injury . Went to 4 doctors , got 3 different diagnostics . The funniest one , an indian doctor , I told him my lower right side hurts . So he started feeling up my left side and going : "oh yea , I feel the muscle really tight in here"

then he prescribed tylenol

all in good time , it's not as easy to just pickup and leave

but of course for later I woldn't have it otherwise ... i'd think lesser of myself ( sorry just a personal thing not directed towards others ) ... my thoughts go to a polish friend of mine who keeps on saying : "it's a sin to raise your kids in this country" . but whatever that's not nearly half of it

My older brother who is 53 now , quit a really crappy full time heavy equip mechanic job to take on a dumptruck driving job . He was gettin older and the work was getting to heavy for him.The driving job had benefits ( something he,s never had before in his life) medical and pension plan too. So , winter comes and he gets laid off , cause he didnt have senority built up yet. Goes to the U I place . No , No benefits for you cause u quit a full time job and took a seasonal job. He had Never collected U I before in his life . He has always worked since he was like 16 yrs old . He had to hire a lawyer to get his benefits paid to him . Nice , Eh??.
On the other hand theres a korean or vietnam ( something from around there) guy an his family move in next door to him . This guy is new to Canada and will tell anyone that will listen that he,s so happy to live here , cause the feds gave him monies to get settled in this country . Apparantly he even got a cheap loan to help get ahouse . The benefits to the country of this guy being here ...40 something year old Mc dee worker . And to top it off can hardly speak english and is dumb as anyone/thing you,ve ever seen . Its true .
This guy lit the side of his house on fire with a barbeque explosion fire and goes running over to my brothers place banging on the door for help . My brother just said , Sorry I dont want any and closed the door and locked it and went back to watching tv..77.

Cosmin Snickets: A series of unfortunate events.

I can't fully disagree with you on the doctor thing because that has been put under the microscope as of late.

Why is a kid that came here from a country of war bitching about anything?

also as of late the list of things covered by the ohip has been shortened , probably funding was needed to put their incompetence under the microscope

adding on to the information for those who are lucky enough to think i'm just an idiot who likes to bitch .

i had some knee problems this morning , and found myself telling my doctors are incompetent in canada story to someone else , this time a pure local .

she told me how her father went to the doctor with pain for several years , and the doctor kept on telling him he has hemoroids . then they discovered the colon cancer too late , and he died a year later .

so people ... hate me if you want , but ... remember don't get sick in this country , and if you do , may God help you , because the docs are not in such a position most of the time

That sux . I dont like to generlize but all the stories I have seen about tamils have all been about them doing some violent act. I have never seen any positive stories about that group unfortunately. They (the perpetraters) should be deported and never let back in. I am not sure how they acted back in their home country but if they were violent like that then they should not be let in.

As far as Canada goes I love it . Born and raised here. There are a few things that **** me off tho , but for the most part we all have it pretty good. I think everyone has a shot to do something with themselves. As far as getting sick here , I guess it depends on who your doc is , my doc is pretty good . He seems to know whats he is doing. I have been to the hospital a few times for different operations and injuries and have always been taken care of. Ussually it takes a while but its not all that bad. As far as ohip , they need to get that sorted out big time . Its weird on what they cover and what they dont.
