In Rememberance...

I was off that day. I felt the opposite than how you did, Grant. They played it at work for days on end. I think that at home it was fine, but at work, I'd rather not. I felt the need to be informed but not morbidly watching the constant stream of info for a week and being terrified as half the people in my area were. .

Very spooky, then I had to fly the next week back up here to WI and that was strange. There were almost no planes leaving and then entire airport was filled with the military. I mean it was packed with them.
I still feel bad to this day though. I do the same thing everytime I fly. I get there super early so I don't have to rush, I stop by the Starbucks and get something to drink, then I stop by the news stand and pick up some magazines to read on the plane. Well this time I picked up Time's special eddition done on it and I was reading it on the plane and the guy sitting next to me kept looking over at it with this terrified look on his face. That's when I realized he was afraid of flying and I certianlly wasn't helping.

I was at work and watched it unfold live. I had a cousin working at the pentagon that day, and all I could think about was what section she was in (she was safe in a different part of the building) what scares me now especially after flying recently is how easy it would still be to do the same thing in this country (in 2 airports I could buy a thin piece of metal past the security check point)
