sad decision

I have decide today that I am going to part out my camaro and junk it. I dont really want to cause I love my car and I know I will miss it but it is just too far gone. It needs a new rear quarter from the previous owner tapping another car with it it needs new floorboards and the drivers side subframe rail is starting to rot where the trans crossmember bolts up. I have had the car for about a year now and I have had to replace the carb, the rearend, the tranny, the interior, the hood, the fenders, the drivers side door, front nose and ground effects, and the exhaust. The motor needs to be rebuilt due to the previous owner overtightening the rocker arms and collapsing the lifters. I feel I would be better off starting off with a new car. I still plan on getting another thirdgen and putting all the parts off this car on it and continuing on with making Grants vision come to life I just dont know how long it will take to find a suitable replacement. Man this is hard I dont wanna say goodbye to my baby

Oh man. Well do what feels right. Everything will be okay as long as you have at least 1 camaro at any time. Thats kinda how I felt about my chevelle. Overwhelmed by rust and things needing to be redone. So I sold it and got something a little more complete.

I traded a 72 Chevelle for this car for the same reason you got rid of yours.

with a unibody once you get rust on the 'frame rails' kiss it goodbye. Not worth messing with after that-

Get what you can in parts out of it and start fresh. If your body facias are decent you aren't really limited in what you can get. If you don't mind the work you could always start swapping parts and make a nice car to build.

But at least now you know that its more whats under the car that matters than how it looks above..

that sucks dude, rust is one of those things thats usually more work than anything to try and fix and on a unibody its crazy work, but ull get another project just buy it from somewhere like here in az or somewhere dry and just drive to pick it up or ship it it will probably be worth the extra money or time IMO
