were al reamin on the guy.. but , if your in court with a guy who is gonna be sentenced, then why would you stand close enough to the guy with your gun in arms reach.. the guy had to be in handcuffs which tells me the cop didn't have it in the hulster properly with the button, or clip. or whatever on...
like zlatko said, hes going to prison anyways, why not risk it.. i'm sure the guy isn't afraid to die so he made a move, and succeeded.
But i'm not gonna be like zlatko and give him kudos for doing it.. i actually care for human life..

I'd admire him JUST as much if he had just beaten the out of these people and not killed them. That also would warrant some respect.

The guy was facing a 2nd trial because the 1st trial was a hung jury, meaning that the jury was split either 11-1 or 6-6 or whatever. As far as I am concerned if a jury of your peers can't make a decision at trial and find you guilty beyond a reasonable doubt then the prosecution has not done it's job and has not proved it's case. If 6 or even 11 of the people believe he did it beyond a reasonable doubt and the other 6 or 1 didn't believe that he was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt then he's not guilty.
The guy should've been set free after that, none of this re-trial bullshit.

Excuse the potentially interpretted racism here, it's not meant like that.
But...
A black man in GEORGIA of all places, KILLS THREE WHITE FOLK. He will die in a shootout. Except likely he'll take a hostage, and unfortunately for the hostage, Georgia police will likely be using high-powered assault rifles to uhh "perforate" the suspect. Collateral damage....
I see where Zlatko's thinking comes in with the escape, etc. Not justified, but a gutsy/desperate move.
