SRT's 4 STILL JUST A NEON

What turbo are you running?
How did you sqeeze it in between the firewall and the block, I had a 97 z24 and when I had the exhaust done, it started melting the two black lines (i don't remember, but I think they were shifter cables or something) without a heat shield.
I think I remember you from way back when I had my blue cavy, which ended up in a scrap yard after I tried fishtailing on 427.

yeah man shift cables melt, you have to zpi tie them out of the way, also the turbo has to have the exhaust side on the passanger side of the car to not melt the heater core lines. its a t304b in there right now builkt by cherry tubros, jt a baby but she makes the car sing. im trying to get my hands on something between a gt30 and a gt35 to take full advantage of the motor.
as it is its tight back there you have to put the turbo in seperate from the manifold and do it from the ground up.

Is your exhaust manifold a T3? I'm going over to my turbo guys place today, I'll see what he can come up with for ya
With your motor(displacement & CR of pistons) I wouldn't be wanting anything smaller than a GT35R personally. You have a motor to spool a big turbo, take advantage of it.....what I would do with an extra 400cc of displacement

nice, let me know wha the has
eah ive got your standard 4 bolt t3 flange. gt35r would be a sexy addition to the car, and man the sounds she'd make, sound like children crying, i love it

internal yes. depends on who you ask. there are some gn guys running 25+ psi on an internal gate and having great success with it. this setup is only temporary anyways, i didnt plan on building a motor for the car so i just wanted a mild setup, which didnt even turn out mild. lol. the next turbo will be much much bigger and will have a 50mm or so wastegate

^^ wow, not bad, dont see many j-bodies with those types of mods...as for the srt-4 thing, they are decent, but i wudn't spend the $$ on them and everyone knows in a couple years they will be worth half of wat they are now, and i have already heard lots of factory problems withe them, guess thats the typical domestic compacts

problem with the domestic sport compact class is that they are built cheaper. ill be the first one to tell you that. every piece of my suspension has been upgraded from premium moog parts, ball joints wheel bearings tie rods etc etc, everything because the oem fails under spirited driving.
there are a few around the southern ontario area that are relativly quick, but for every quick one you have about 500 that are riced out, lol.
the srt 4 is a ncie car though, its built pretty tough from factory and its nice having a fast 4 door. the idea is there, build a turbo car that kids will want, corner the tuner market and they did that. shame it was only a limited run though. wonder if these cars will follow in the foot steps of the old turbo dodges

The SRT-4...Hmmm not convinced. Its kinda cheap and so-so fast. Stock Boost and I tested them back in 03 on a track in Atlanta. First I couldhnt get the the thing under control when it went into boost. Just all smoke and torque-steer. Then I jammed 2nd so hard the **** came off in my hands. Drove the IS300 after and what a dream by comparasin.
These things are supposed to be highway killers. I ran a Mopar Stage II car on hwy in my 2G Talon and embarrased that guy so hard three times, he took the next exit. I had 60hp more and nearly same torque but AWD and about 500 more lbs and a passenger.
