honda is so good why arent they backing their teams? BTW GM doesnt "sponsor" all these vehicles. I think you need to do your homework on this one buddy lol.
the closest ive came to racing was beating 2 civics, a neon, losing to an srt-4 (just wanted to see him go bc it was 300+hp), beating a miata, hmm....yeah. I have NO experience racing, my car is slow as **** and im beating riced out civics and miata guys thinking their stock automatic miata is a real fast sports car. Man I cant wait for spring to drop the ecotec motor in, along with other goodies. And yes I have it I just need the tranny, lsd, stage 3+ clutch and im set. 14s or bust. And I wont be n/a for long either. and YES im doing it so dont bother trying to say "your talkin ur not gonna do it". why would i buy half the ? to look at?

And my car will make a 14 second pass on the 1/4 n/a if you like it or not. All the ecotec motor needs is a cai, full exhaust and good tires to get into the 14s and ill have more than that, enough for consitant high 14s. Would you like lots of proof of n/a ecotecs in the 14s?

im not arguing the whether it can or cant run 14's. im telling you that after your engine swap and all your bolt ons, 14's is still slow as , and you are talking as if its something respectable at that. re-read what i was saying, and youll see what i mean. with all this work and engine swapping, if you had been doing it to a GOOD car, you might have something to show for it instead of a 14 second jbody that will still get rocked by the a good portion of daily commuters.
i think you need to do some real world research buddy. the fastest/most competitive GM drag cobalts/cavaliers have GM factory staff on site for many races.
why honda doesnt/didnt back many race teams is an entirely different arguement. whats of real relevance is with or without factory backing, mitsu, toyota and honda cars are just as competitive

a supra costs ~$30,000. You can pick up an 05 cavy for $9,000. Do you see that huge money difference buddy?
Both are rough estimates probably off by a few grand, but do you get the ****in point? Why buy another vehicle? I like my vehicle. Any car can go fast.

There is nothing a supra can't do that a cavalier can, except suck.
Oh and you can buy a supra for $500 if you wanted. Contrary to what you see in movies, you closet ricer, there are more supras then the mk4 supra.

Id love to see these so called street legal supras.. Or for that matter a supra that has 1200hp and runs better then 12s. Do yourself a favor drop the cavalier. You want a easily modded fast domestic? that seats 5 comfterably and gets good gas mileage?? somthing that looks like darth vader? BUICK GRAND NATIONAL/GNX . With a few mods you will be king of the streets even stock these cars can mop the floor with many many so called fast cars of today.

You need to get out more. There are 450-500whp supras that run 10s in street form. There is a mk3 supra in the GTA that runs 11's on the stock turbo! Drag supras in the 7's. Go search wide open throttle motorsports for Ryan Woon; 8 second street legal stock 6 speed/stock rear end supra.
And I would take a GNX any day! Incredible cars.
