Stop immigration?
#16
Most of the people you are all talking about don't exactly had Canadian citizenship. Mostly their spouses have citizenship and they brought their family members here in an attempt to help suppourt them. Althought I DO agree that immigration laws need to be alot more strict (as in allow more educated and skillfull individuals in), still the people who you see mostly are still citizens of their native country. My mother for example just recently became a Canadian citizen. My dad being a citizen for over 30 years brought her here after they got married. My dad is a nuclear engineer and is doing alot to provide energy for Ontario, and has been doing so all his life here.
As for the burger pushers and stuff. They again are usually not Canadian citizens, just finding a easy job cause they are either a. still in the process of being educated to adapt (or be certified) to the Canadian labour system. OR b. quite lazy... but still. not canadian citizens.

Regulation is the key. Coming to Canada and sitting on welfare does nothing for us taxpayers. Some people abuse while others are truly entitled, but the problem is all these people feel they’re entitled to their entitlements.
Make them get out there and shovel the sidewalks for the elderly, make them pick up trash. I don’t believe they cannot get a job.... oh well, guess those im referring to could consider welfare pay and working for it as a job.
Then there is those who come to Canada to better their families and themselves by education and work. No problem with that.
But at what point do you say who is entitled and who isn’t? In Canada everyone is entitled, but are they? I remember people in high school working for cash and getting welfare as well. They had all the toys, and all they were doing was abusing a system that is already abused and flawed..
So do you stop it completely, how do you regulate? Canada’s doors are open to all, that includes those who work, those who leech and those who commit crimes in the name of terrorism. Canada has some huge flaws but im not sure where to start of fixing them.
Canada is already a great country, and I think most people’s suggestions are just to better it.
Final thought. Years ago I went to get my ‘new’ health card with photo. I took my license, school id, credit card, credit valley hospital card and took it all in. I was turned away after a crazy wait. The gentlemen before me who spoke no English and had ONLY a piece of paper (I imagine his permit to be here), showed it to the lady, she snapped the picture and they were on their way… WTF?

Well, in all fairness, we need some of the people coming in. The main problem is, alot of them are Doctors, engineers, etc, that we are short of. the problem is, that their schooling is not recognized, and therefore we are short both.
However.
These people, who I deal with on a daily basis, have no right to come here, and expect us to change our just to appease their religious, or cultural beliefs. I don't have a problem with turbans, or any other kind of religious dress, but shut the up about our beliefs. If you don't like them, leave. I'm so ing tired of people who expect me to bend over backwards to appease their beliefs.
Now I'm not a particularly religious person, however, I beleive in God. As a Scouts Canada Leader, I am expected to teach these kids about spirituality. This is almost impossible. We have so many different religions, and beleive it or not, there are dissagreements. About religion. Give me a ing break. I'm going to quote a very smart man, who unfortunatley is now dead.
"Nothing to kill, or die for, and no religion too."
Religion is not something that should be fought over. No one has the right to kill someone over what version of God they beleive. Nor do they have the right to condemn me for my beliefs.
I think we need to shut the border. Bottom line. The only people that should be allowed to immigrate, should be Doctors, engineers, and others who can actually contribute to society. The rest of them, stay home.
And I'm not going to change my Godamn Christmas tree to a Holiday tree. It's a CHRISTMAS TREE, because it's CHRISTMAS. If you don't like it, OFF!!

damn, this thread is kinda ed. There are a ton of people on TSR who arent white.. and some may be offended by this ... its really not needed on a street racing forum.
Yes, on TSR you can express yourself, but some of this is just racist stereotypes that shouldnt be here. Take it to MMTO, cause really i dont care who stinks..
I really wish discussions that stimulate the mind didnt turn out like this... oh well...
