The thing about MMA and the UFC, is when a fighter looks like they're hurt, the ref's will stop the fight. It's actually safer than boxing is, because boxers are allowed to continue fighting until someone gets knocked out. If they get back up and continue to fight, that's when the damage happens.

They don't allow that in MMA. If you get KO'd for a second and want to get back into it, they won't let you. And they all pretty much wear long shorts now, at least down to the knee. Very few wear those skin tight shorts any more. There's even some pretty smart guys fighting in there as well. Look at Rich Franklin,.....4 years ago he was a Middle School Teacher, then he decided to try it out, and just kicked everyones A$$ all the way to the Middleweight Championship.....even Ken Shamrock as a Light Heavyweight.

I definitely agree that Tim Sylvia got so lucky by Andre letting his guard down. I mean right before Andre went down, He hit Sylvia so hard, everyone in the arena heard it. Only reason the fight went the way it did, was because Sylvia had a strong chin, and Andre didn't. The next fight (or rubber fight) I don't think Andre makes that same mistake. I know it's gonna be good.

where is that self defense? you lock yourself in a ring with another guy and beat the pulp out of eachother is not self defense by definition it's self mutilation, and causes brain damage.

tito won the fight, forrest threw punches non stop, very few even landed, even less even fazed tito, tito didnt waste any punches, almost all conected, tito was in controle, and thats why he won, plus the final take down.....
