Serra lands a straight right to the body. Serra lands another body shot. Serra looks very comfortable with his striking. St. Pierre is throwing one strike at a time thus far. Serra rocks St. Pierre with a right hook and another punch. He pounces and mounts St. Pierre then pounds away until John McCarthy halts the bout. Matt Serra becomes the new welterweight champion at 3:25 of the first round.

man what a disapointing fight. what was even worse was diego the ball gurgler vs josh the salad tosser. i hate them both and man what a crappy fight that was. diego can not stand up, ive been saying this all along, he can only perform take downs and fight on the ground, and thats it, and tonites fight proved how bad of a stand up fighter he actually is. all in all a disapointing ufc for a good card. should have stayed at home, atleast i would have saved a bunch of money that way
