I didnt read much of the thread(sorry its late) but this new law is really having an effect(unfortunately). We all know its a cash grab bs and they are catching more regular citizens than "Street racers" (which makes sense since majority of people make up way more of the driving population than "tuners"). ... I use to take part in some fun from time to time(nothing crazy, and did it as safe as I could) but with this new law it really isnt worth it. I cant afford to get f00ked by this, and I think many feel the same way. Before you could deal with a $500 fine or whatever, but automatic roadside suspension/siezure + 2k+ fine etc.

ick, I just stick to having fun on my own (but have to be even more careful now) .

the law is complete bs since "tunerz" and street racing/ accidents make up less than 1% of overall road accidents... and like cell phone usage and drunk driving cause WAY more accidents its not even worth trying to compare data. .but fawk its made me worry about having some fun with the dude next to me more. Maybe im just getting older though ???
sucks cause when done "responsibly" its no big deal imo. I need to move out of province.

Zlatko was a mod on TSR just like me when the other owner / admins brought it to everyones attention, they removed him. I was only a mod then too but it was the same crap i had heard.

So, don't blame judge or myself for his removal. Your boy Z just didn't leave on his own, people running TSR evicted him. Then months down the road TSR got chopped.

What other people have had this rumor associated with them ?

Ugh...no. TSR was the Originator. It was always here. It expanded from the days of the original EZ Board (Which i was on too, were you even around than Rick, hell have you ever even raced anyone before?) and than once they went to the new board, the 2 owners split it into TSR & GTASR. You forgot already?

This place is only the largest site in Ontario about cars because of its OWN "coat tail" so who are you trying to kid? And like i mentioned before, Zlatko didnt want to be a part of this 'scene' anymore, he grew up. He realized the car 'scene' (if you want to call it that anymore here) went right down the gutter and wanted to part of IT. Not the people, otherwise people like me and a few others who still come onto this site wouldnt STILL TO THIS DAY be friends with him and talk to him on a daily basis.

BTW, XDR had nothing to do with me. **** Steve (the owner of XDR) as he really IS a rat, but you should know that already, it was a big thing all over GTASR and GTAMC at the time. As for OSR, you can laugh all you want, but thats where everyone went after GTASR died. I never made any other sites and i seldom rarely lurk here. I didnt say that. Ill be in my 60s and still into the car scene, i dont personally give a about peoples age. If you have a nice car and you still go out to meets and run your car and not just your mouth than you've got my respect.

A lot of people have nice cars, but even more people that used to be regulars at the meets/runs DONT anymore. I know guys who've gone from nice fox-bodys to stock BMW's. Full bolt-ons 6-speed LS1's to stock d-series beaters. Built turbo Civics to pick-up trucks. They dont come on these sites anymore and they dont race anymore, but does that mean they narced to the cops? No i didnt think so. Some peoples lives change and they have much different goals in life.


As for your Brakes, you can pickup a set of 03-04 cobra fronts for cheap off e-bay. Ive seen a few on Kijiji and Craigslist too.

And this thread got alot bigger than I thought it was going to.

I heard the rumours about Zlatko, and, not knowing him, believed them. However that doesn't mean I still do.

I just think the whole scene went downhill in about 04, early 05. Everyone stopped running and hardparkers took over. And now, racing is just about impossible (and STUPID) unless you head out to Cayuga.

Its too bad, I had alot of REALLY good friends who've just disappeared because they got out of the car scene.

People do desperate things to make a quick buck. And when other(s) who were at the time old schoolers around here thought he was a rat, why should we question them? It was different back then, it was about street racing.

Zlatko was 100% kicked off the site. His ban may have been lifted at some time, and I know he still comes here. Despite what you claim, he was here (03-30-2008); and that is totally cool too.

I've been to the meets, hell, even you acknowledge i recorded some street races. I used to go out a lot back in the day to the Islington meets, even W.B. , but it started to get lame, so i just stayed local.

Times change, street racing doesn't interest me, i have far too much to loose. If you want to race, by all means, go ahead. Being a street racer means jack all here these days.

Forum seems to be doing fine. Events get covered, people chat, hell, even you are making conversation in here.

Well, people don't like rats. What do you expect? People 'generally' don't wake up and say "hey, lets call so and so a rat".

Who knows the real story, sure as hell not me. It was a big deal years ago but it didn't affect me so i am not as upset about the rat talk

I agree with with you, peoples lives change. Street Racing, is not what it was back in the day. That’s over. And even if it weren’t, I don’t know how many people will risk it these days.

With people growing up, priorities change. I’ve only heard of two people from the TSR days being narcs. If it is true or not, who knows. Again, for me, it doesn’t really affect me in anyway and I really have no hard feelings towards those 2 guys, but I wasn’t affected.

As for a Cobra R brake kit, you’re looking at almost 4k by the time you buy it all and pay to have it installed.

Damn, 4 years ago? I was out maybe 4 times last year at that Timmies. I actually cruised my stang once to another tims to hangout and it was a decent time, went earlier in the night. Just car enthusiasts, even hit up Applewood.

But, over the last few years, 2 different jobs and well, hours were gay!

I doubt I will be out at 403 this year too, but I will still be hitting up events and hopefully my CAA card wont be in full affect. LOL

I know for me, it has never really mattered. Back then the site was different, the staff made a decision, he was removed for a reason.

I don't want to harp on him or continually use his name because you are right, he may be 100% innocent.

The street racing scene is dead. Penalties are stiff making it not worth it.
I met a lot of great people too from the scene and more than enough people that were not so great. There are far too many haters out there.
I don’t mind show and shines or meets, or even track days, I love the scene.
