100x100 size is not bigger than 1000x1000. 1000 pixels by 1000 pixels wide is a larger image than 100x100. A pixel is the little dots on the screen. A period ( . ) is one pixel (generally) If it's resolution, the more pixels in a 1inch by 1inch square is a higher resolution... just like if you have a 1600x1400 resolution screen, the resolution is better than an 800x600 screen, because regardless of 1600 or 800, it's still the width of the monitor.
