Are you sure it's an Elite? Never heard of a white one and I just did some searching online and can't find any white ones.

I watched a show the other day that compared HDMI cables, they had one from ebay for $16 a Rocketfish one, and a $200 monster one. They had the video guy at the network run various tests on them and found that they all transmitted the exact same stuff. There was absouletly no difference. I'm running $5 HDMI's from Amazom.com and they look great to me.

Rep Power: 712 at best buy they are all 30% off. Also, they have some on bestbuy.com that Ive seen as low as $10. I actually just picked up American Gangster yesterday for $15. Im waiting until they drop down to 50% off, then Im getting the matrix trilogy, and planet earth, and a few others. I havent shopped around anywhere else for them, but I would imagine Ebay or circuit city might have some deals as well.
Im also pretty stoked.. Dunno if any of you bought a HD DVD player from Best Buy, but they announced a couple days ago that they will be giving anyone who bought one before Feb. 23, 2007 a $50 gift card. I think thats a pretty good idea and definitly gives back for anything people may be pissed off about. I know that $50 is going right back for cheap HD movies for me.

Awesome thanks!
yeah arch, I just had a guy call on the phone the other day saying he got a tv, and a computer with hdmi. Said he had a pic, but no sound. My conclusion without seeing it was that he possibly had a bad cable. Now I know to ask how much they spent on their HDMI cables haha.

cleaner a good surge protector (if it is under $50 it's a power strip) I would go with panamax or tripplite as that is all both companies make. Cables just go with some upgraded (monster has a lifetime guarantee on their hdmi's and it is worth it and I hate monster cables)

The people at Circuit City promised me the TV on Wednesday this week, and it wasnt there, then promised me Thursday, and it still wasnt, so I went in and had a 'discussion' with the manager, and he sold me the display unit for a steal at $800. And a 5 year protection plan.
I also got the Monster Cleaner kit.
