I talk alote of ? Easy there germany. Anyways back on track. Linux is fine for everyday use. I currently use it on my laptop. Although it does require more experiance to use freely there are many benefits of useing linux over Windows. Right now I am useing windows as most of the time I do. The main problem with linux is sometimes you have to write your own drivers ,etc. Which not everyone can do. Other then that it is much better and rock solid unlike windows which comes with spyware from the factory. Best of all for the most part its a free community. You can also run windows apps without running a dual boot system

There is nothing wrong with useing linux for home. As you can see it is virtually user friendly and not all that complicated if you get into it. Stop ing ignorance.

Oh really? what would these benefits be then? I can't think of any really.

Then it actually impresses me how you are even able to run Linux if you believe what you wrote above were supposed to be true.

Spyware from the factory eh... and u'r talking to be about ignorance?

If you can't keep your own windows system spyware, and virus free then you clearly have a lot to learn.

Yes, yes I know.. you CAN do it.. but WHY? It doesn't run as good as it would under windows... and everything you can do under linux, I can do under Windows, but better. I don't have to **** around w/ drivers, hardware, this, that and the other. Under windows it just works.

I've been there and done that with Linux... It's cool... wow... but it's really only for people that want to bother with it. It's in no way a desktop replacement OS.

goto the suse support forums, or linuxquestions.org... take a look @ some of the long time/hardcore members... or do a search of desktop replacement.. all of them will tell u that Linux never was meant to be one, and probably never will.

I know there's nothing WRONG with it. What's wrong here is that you said "If you're a computer enthusiast you'd be using LINUX"

Which simply isn't true.

And stop typing using as useing... please and thank you.

I understand your frustration to lack of knowledge about the software. It is indeed capable of replaceing windows as a daily computer for home or anything. Perhaps you could go on about the reasons it is not? Or since you seem to have trouble useing anything but windows maybe you should consider a MAC. IBM also backs linux:

cool vid. I find it hilarious how you are preatching like windows is the . It's a pile of mule dung compared to a red hat or suse linux powered computer. I did this I did that bla bla bla thats all bullshit. You probibly coulden't figure out how to run the OS let alone play around with it. Which is why you ran back to windows. Now tell me your experiances and details on why linux is a turd?

Its true when will microsoft catch up? ( quick vid of some linux capabilities)

See you're so stupid and close minded... :thumbsdow

Never did I say LINUX was ... the only way you're able to argue with anyone with u'r simple ass mind is to put words in peoples mouths, and answer questions w/ questions.

I mean you can't even spell for christ sake, how or why someone who's trying to act so damn smart but presents himself as a complete idiot is beyond me.

You can keep telling you're self that LINUX is a replacement desktop OS. Yet I'll rather believe people who've been in the community a while longer then you have. I've had a reasonable discussion about this with them on the forums. I could care less what you keep trying to "prove" even though you haven't proven at all one point as to why there's an advantage of running a linux distro over windows. Not one.

I've also never said Windows was the you fool. It's as if you can't only not write properly, you can't read either.

Windows as more going for it as a mainstream desktop OS then linux ever will.

There just isn't enough support from the big vendors for linux, hardware or software wise. You can argue this all you want, but anyone serious about linux will agree with me, and not just act like a damn fool like you are.

It's actually people like you that give Linux a bad name.

Still debating whether it's worth it or not, the old system works fine for right now.

NOTORIOUS VR 02-07-2007 07:27 PM

Right now, other then having some more eye candy, there's no reason to switch to Vista, especially when u have an older system.

Once games start coming out w/ DX10 then it's time to upgrade u'r hardware and to Vista.

Do you think I care how I spell online? You have no argument which is why you resort to lame insults. Cut the tough guy routine while your at it , you can't back it up.

Back on topic:

There are many benifits of linux which I dont even need to list , nor do I have to bother listing things you are just trying to start a flame war.

NOTORIOUS VR 02-08-2007 06:44 AM

Holy ****... this is obviously isn't going anywhere. You can't even keep a simple thread going. I understand though, when you're fighting a loosing battle, then it's best to give up when you can.

Tough guy routine? lmao, GTFO you clown... The only one here trying to act tough here is you.

On top of that, nice try to save face in regards to spelling. But it's quite obvious you haven't even gotten the basics down yet. Just as a hint, you need to drop the E for ING. :smilie_da

So I guess there you have it folks. Nastyzed can't tell us why "computer enthusiasts" should be running Linux over Windows. But then again, I've been saying that from the beginning, that it's a load of horse .

It's good to see the Linux world still had idiots in it. :loser:

You've lost so badly I'm done with this thread, you can't even come back up from this one... lmfao.
