Question 91 2.3L idling and tach problems

Ive got a 91 2.3L. When i start it up in the morning and its warm, it idles perfectly. Yet as soon as i drive it for a while the tach starts going unpredictably and then settels to 1000 rpms when it is actually at 2000, and 1500 when it is at 3000 rpms, ive checked for vacume leaks and made sure it was getting enough fuel. What else should i do?

AlohaBabe615 should buy a rope to hang!
Smile tach problem

Did you check the wires/fuse or battery? you could always go to an auto repair shop and get it checked out.
