Since the Glassback® concept roof debuted at the 2004 SEMA Show, it has arguably been one of the most anticipated products for the popular 2005+ Ford Mustang. To meet this high demand, sunroof giant Webasto Product North America, Inc., and the Mustang specialists at Classic Design Concepts (CDC) announce their partnership.

The laminated panoramic glass roof will be manufactured in the United States by CDC and distributed throughout North America by Webasto. With hundreds of authorized installers servicing new car dealerships across North America, Webasto will make the Glassback® available as an option on new and used vehicle purchases. Enthusiasts who already have purchased Mustangs will be able to have their vehicles’ "retrofitted" by contacting Webasto or the nearest Glassback® authorized installer.

The Glassback® roof takes the classic fastback look of the Mustang coupe and adds the open-air feeling of a convertible. The high performance solar glass runs from A- to B- pillar, radically opening up the interior and adding sunshine without the wind or noise. Innovative Vanceva® PVB technology protects the interior from the sun’s UVA and UVB radiation. The roof’s 50+ ultraviolet protection factor (the highest rating available), helps keep passengers cool.
