Hi from the flatlands .Ihave a 96 ford explorer with 4.0 litre engine , this is a johnny baur special .The suv has keyless entry ,we cant use this cause the car was a write off (recertified) & nobody knows what the old code was . Now is there some way to enter your own code ,this thing has so many bells & whistles that its very intimidating just dont want to screw anything up . Any info would be nice Later Bake

k, its really simple to do and you cant screw anything up. First get in the vehicle and close the door. Put the key in the ignition. Turn the key to the on position but dont start the vehicle. You have to do this 5 time within 10 seconds. You will hear the door chime ring. when you hear that, press the lock and unlock buttons at the same time on all remotes that you want to program...........and voila.....you're done

I actually used to work at a ford dealership and programmed hundreds of those things. Its hard to believe they cherge $60 to do it
