I like Blowers.

I don't wanna wait for my turbo to decide to spool before I get all my power, with a blower, the power is right there all the time....although a lot of the new turbos have very little spool time and we all know that turbos make more power than blowers, so I dunno.....I suppose I'd try a new small ball bearing turbo instead of a blower but the coolest sound in the world IMO is the sound of a big ol roots winding out

Turbo lag is a myth. And what the hell is a small ball bearing turbo? I'm not a big fan of blowers, roots blowers are limited and sacrifice top end power for low end grunt.... while centrifugal blowers don't give you full boost til redline. A properly matched turbo setup will give you instant boost and good top end power, so its better than both.
Just out of curiosity, have you ever owned a supercharged or turbo car?

^yep, I've had a Buick Park Ave that I turbo'd but it wasn't all that impressive....used a turbo and wastegate from a Caravan. I bought a 10 pound spring for the wastegate. It was still a pretty cool thing to see....an 88 Park ave smoke the tires off, but it wasn't the fastest car I ever drove. The plan was to make it as close to a Grand National as I could(motor wise), but it's not the same motor. Ended up severly twisting the subframe of that car which happened to be rusted and it dropped going down to the lake. Big deal though, bought it for $100

And,I haven't had a supercharged car yet, but I've driven enough of them, from Stock Grand Prix GTPs to 800Hp Lightnings with Whipple Chargers.....even a 69 Chevelle with a BDS 8/71

Although I don't know much about Centrifigul's, they must be pretty good since most of the power adder mustangs are either Turbo or S-Trims/T-trims.

BTW turbo lag is NOT a myth.....obviosly never a truck driver were you.

man, i so totally agree. Tag Motorsport did my first turbo kit. It made silly power but was a total POS on the street.

Looking back, its more like my car was a guinea pig

There's your problem. I built my own true DIY setup and it worked fantastic, I'm addicted to turbo boost thanks to it. And my car never ran well either! In your case, thats what happens when you toss a HUGE *** turbo on a 306!! But you're going to have tons of fun with the car now that its getting the blower on a stout motor.

Well, i paid for a service, it just didn't turn out good. Kinda like what i experienced with lack of o-rings from MPW on my fuel rails.

Supercharger is just easier and less hassles.

while I have had both turbo and s/c I would take the turbo over the s/c any day now that it is coming around is it easier no is it better for me much and so far has been much faster the the old S/C ever ran. What I like about the turbo over the S/C. I run 331 rear gears very small cam .530 lift and 280 duration idles almost like a stocker I can turn the boost up and down in the car I can run 7psi or 18psi or any thing in between. if I need more I can have that to. its quite now even with the 3in exhaust. I am getting 15+ mpg with it and still looking to get more when I get the tune all worked out. and that is with a C-4 and no OD. turbos make for much better sleepers then the s/c by the time they realize its a turbo car its to late LOL. No belts to throw no belts to wear out. I like the small amount of lag we got helps the car hook but when the boost hits you better have a hand full cuz it is happening and very fast. So yea I love our turbo low tens street car.
