I prefer the quiet deep tone of plain turbos too. I don't like the loudness of the newer mufflers.

Flowmaster is very well known brand, my brother bought one, he has a ricer car, so it didn't sounded the way he wanted, I seen many up for sale on ebay at good prices. I think I'll go take a look now. Peace .

I had BBK longtube ceramic coated headers, BBK shorty X pipe, no cats, and flowmaster 40 series, all 2 1/2 inch. It was by far a bad *** sound! This was on my 98 cobra.Very clean as far as ringing, fluttering and baffle rattling, very nasty sounding as far as power. Inside resonance was terrible, but I didn't care at that point. I didn't drive it everyday, and it wasn't set up for everyday use. I now have an 07 GT and have the flowmaster axle back, which is pretty nice with just mufflers, but I am planning on putting a Bassani x-pipe with cats, and shorty tuned length headers. We will see how that sounds.
