350 again and new car pics
k so heres some pics of my 350 tear down. took me about 2 1/2 hours to do and i had to run to the store and pick up a harmonic balancer puller so i could get the crank, cam ect out. Im going to have it hot tanked as soon as i get the money. probly after christmas. Heres my dads new car. 2001 Acura CL. This car is all around nice. the exterior is ok, not much stlye, but its black lol. The interior kicks ***. Heated leather wood grain... this car is pretty quick too. this is what my dad just got to replace the cavalier which was my moms car so now my mom is driving the 05 corrolla s and my dad is driving this car. so that means since the cavy was supposed to be my daily driver next year i get the truck!

why hot tank it? get some breakleen and a air nozzle and clean the thing.. then hone the cyl's. and do what you can.. im not up to date with the hot tank deal.. how much does that cost?

Nick - I thought about cleaning the block and honing it myself but it really needs to be bored. its not extremely bad,(the olds 350 was a lot worse) i could probably get away with just honing but if im going to build a good engine im going to build it right. hot tanking is just like really thorough cleaning like inside the block too where you cant get to by hand. about 100 bucks i think to get it hot tanked. i just might do do the honing myself and build it when i actually have 2 g's to dump into it
Phate - the flames are painted on the truck.

Ypu really need to buy new connecting rods.. not just the lower part... because the rods you have now have some wear.. and have made special grooves in special places.. i think you might understand what i mean...
