Matt, No ebay.... not for used connecting rods... Look around, you can find a rebuild kit 350 bux for new almost everything.. Like Con. Rods.. and bearings... I'd only go used with a pair of heads.. find a pair for a 400sb... the valves are bigger...

but those rods were 24 bucks shipped! lol yeah idk what im going to do. its really hard to make my mind up wheather or not i should bore it and w/e. i was actually planning on getting some vortech heads for it but thats undecided also. thanks for the help Nick. how about new connecting rods from ebay?

Yea thats something that will work.. Vortech heads... hmm What kind of performance do you want? top end power? Low end, mid range?
I have Vortech heads, and i have the ones with the larger stump in the intake port, Which Leaves all my power way low.. Frig it, i'll find a article.. brb

Under the first picture to the right.. thats what i have.. If your very light on the throttle you can chirp 4th gear.. No kidding. but if your WOT you dont chirp more than 2nd.. I run 9.3's in the 1/8 @ 73 Mph.. and get 25mpg Doing that all night... No kidding..

Could you give me the Numbers on the block? On the rear, where it says 5.7L theres a bunch of numbers... i need them... and i need the numbers/letters on the front left... right above the water pump hole.. gas and tooth brush... thanks, Nick

yeah ill get the numbers in a minute nick. haha i just started cleaning it a couple days ago and all the numbers are easily read. not gas and a tooth brush...electric drill and wire brush attachment.
ok i finally made up my mind for the last time. im not going to be cheap like i was before. im going to build this engine right. magnafluxed, bored, honed, hot tanked...w/e else there is... its gonna be done right. so while im saving up for all the machining i will need i will buy a little somethin here and there... cam/ lifters, dress up stuff.. blah blah blah....
so yeah. 383 stroker!!!
heres the casting #'s
on the passenger side of the block it had 010 S just right in the middle.
behind the timing chain it said 010 776509 on the left side and 636 on the right
above the where the oil filter would go on theres 010 WR
