I've been toying with changing Mayhem to synthetic... the Dodge is already on synthetic... maybe next oil change, which is coming up real soon.

not really sure I asked a pro (I lived next door to a pro stock driver in Sugar Hill GA) and he said it was to do with the clearances (they also run very very low levels)

jesus i had no idea any 4th gen had a hydro flat tappet cam. Was 87 the change over year for v8s into hydro rollers? Think it was. Anywayz i thought the v6 3rd gen maros (late 80s time period) also had hydro roller cams. Im guessing im mistaken on that part now since i have no idea why they would change em back to flat tappets.

v6 went in only certain engines

NoRiceInside 03-29-2005 07:36 PM

well all 3rd gen V6s had the same engine as me, cept smaller bore, so then i guess that means all 3rd gen V6s had hydraulic flat tappet.

the 2.8 may have been roller I can't remember the 3.1 was flat though
