^^^ He said R(EAR)WD. Best bet is mustang, any gen. Mods, aftermarket, money/perfomance is one the best. and it is prooven drag car. Stock V8 Mustang will beat most of the stock and slightly moddifyed hondas.

i was looking into a mustang but they are the most expensive car to insure for a young male.... and for all the people cutting up how many honda's there are... for every civic i can almost see another mustang go by.. they are everywhere

I think if you're looking for an inexpensive car to purchase, insure and modify - you're list is a little off. 97-01 Preludes aren't all that cheap, and for that matter, a decent 92-96 isn't cheap either. 94-97 Accords have the least amount of aftermarket modifications (both style and performance) then any car on that list (so i'd rule that car out). I personally am not a fan of the sunfire/cavalier (no offense to any cavy owners) its just not my taste - and they are WAY over riced on the streets, but there are a lot of mods for it. From your list I personally would go with an Integra - just because there are many options for mods, if you're on a budget you can buy most of the mods on ebay, and people have proven the B18 motor to withstand a respectable amount of hp.

If I was purchasing a car, I would either look at a 93-94 Talon - or I would go with the AE86, Tureno or 240sx and drop a japanese motor into it (by the time you drop the motor in you would still be WAY under the price of a 97-01 Prelude).

who said anything about a beretta gt or a GTZ? The z26 looks like the GTZ but dosent have the head gasket eating quad 4.Your knocking a beretta but you drive a ISUZU? they were just wiped out in north america due to **** poor sales.Selling less then 40,000 cars in their whole line up.Not to mention the beretta will outlast that isuzu anyday.

The best part about the asuna sunfire/impulse is that when you sit in the back you hit your head on the hatch

^^^^^ I just tell them to shut the up if you want a car to be a taxi driver buy a crown victoria. I bought mine to race, and get my *** to work, all my friends drive, why would I drive them around ?

I owned the z24 3.1L V6 cavalier for 2 years, it blew out a spark plug, which forced me to replace the cylinder head(it was already tapped once before). And believe me I can tell you everything thats a bitch to work with in that engine.

The location of the ing coils, Not to mention the random engine stops that plauge that engine, the retarded headers, the lack of good parts, and the price of custom made parts. The amount of work you have to do to replace anything in that car, the common lock up selenoid problem.

Like goddamn, thanx to GM why the do you have coolant running through your throttle body ? in fact GM has a part in STOCK to override that. Basically REPLACING ANYTHING IN THAT ENGINE REQUIRED DRAINING THE COOLANT

I love that car to death, the way it feels, but getting raped by a 4 door sunfire shook me up enought to understand its really just one heavy eye candy.

And the Isuzu sales comment:

At the time ISUZU was owned (51%) by GM and their shitty marketing strategies ed up the company pretty good, go to europe and count the amount of isuzus on the road(european marketing was not by GM), either way id own an impulse over z26/4 any day, I want to know that when I need to get to work in the morning and there is a speed bump on my way my car will not break in half because of the rust. And please you and i know both know how those cars are with rust.

Either way having a rare car is nice, even stock it looks sweet:

almost forgot to mention, the GTZ ran faster than the z26, except the head gasket eating problem the engine is overall one of the best engines GM has ever made, easy to work with, good intake manifold, pretty good exhaust manifold great flowing head easier to work with.

they are kind of pricey in good condition, and eat alot of gas, but for pure power i gotta hand it to those cars.

it's true they eat up a bit more gas around the city, but they also get more mileage on the highway (28 - 29 mpg).
You can also find an 80s car and it will rock the others with a good tune up and one or two bolt ons

He wants a car that looks bling though, so 80's are probally out for him.

Which is great, leaves 1 more car for me.
