, at this rate, despite the insurance jump... it'll be worth it for me to ride the ol' bike (1984 CB550SC NightHawk, rare bike).
Also, it was 99.9 when I filled up from dead empty. Got "robbed" I'm sure, but I needed gas dammit. Esso on hwy 400 SB just outside Oro township.

I remember pumping gas at my dads station when it was 43.9 and when it hit the 49.9 to 50.0 marker that was HUGE..though - those were also the days when leaded gas was going out. Shell had a huge "LEAD ENDS" campaign.
If you're not making plans to change what/how you drive then you have no right to complain about gas prices. It is coming to the point where if you change your way of life it WILL affect the environment and yourself as opposed to so many other times that you're just a drop in the bucket.

Fast and powerful machines are going to be again privilage of owning for the RICH.
Even if fast supercharged, Cobras will cost 20K (just imagine), Regular guy would not be able to afford to feed this baby.

Man I remember when I was a small kid, there used to be a Shell station nearby where when you fill up 25 liters, you get a car wash for $1.
CONSTANT lineup at that station for the wash. Now: no waiting for a wash, ever.

You'll see, Diesel will be the next big thing here... just like in europe... the manufacturers are just waiting on cleaner fuel (we have too much sulfer in our Diesel).
