I added it up once for my '94. Once I hit the $10,000.00 mark I stopped counting.

It'd be hard for me to add everything up for my current car since there's parts off my '94 in it. (Seats, headunit, Trans Am door panels, etc...)

yeah i think over 1000 is a lot that i have put into my car... but some people spend more than that on rims alone. i was just suprised b/c most of my stuff was under 100 dollars.

Eh. If I could do it all at one time I could do it alot cheaper.

You should probally tack on another $1000 at least to that. I have rebuilt the motor twice now, and theres a ton of little things you replace when you do that.

Not to mention that all this is labor free pricing. Because I installed it all myself.

Yes it was worth it, until you start thinking of what you could have used the money for instead.
But if I didn't think it was worth it I wouldn't be doing it all over again with my LS1.

These threads are a love/hate type thread

I added mine up a while back and the money I have invested in aftermarket upgrades hit $15,000. I am not even going to attempt breaking it down mod by mod, but I will break it down by category:

Performance $6,000
Suspension $2,200
Exterior App. $1,800
Engine Bay App. $1,500
2 sets of wheels $3,600

Total $:banghead:

hmmmm....ive bought a lot of parts and sold them off and made a considerable amount of money doing this so its hard to tell exactly how far i am behind, but i can just add up the parts i have on it or at least the groups.lol

clutch and tires= 1000
stereo= 1000
nitrous= 1000
full exhaust= 1000
paint, wheels and appearance= 500
misc crap that adds up= 500

im not doin too bad but i have mostly used parts and do almost all labor myself. also wheels and paint job where deal of a lifetime. hehe

I don't wat to think about it and in a few weeks it will be even more money that I don't want to think about. Then there is the 396 build up I will be starting..... glad I'm sitting down.
