Exclamation Need Help With Electicle.

Hey guys i have had my (2) HE2 rockford fosgates powered off of a punch p8002 amp for about 6 months now, and just recently ive been having a few problems with start up and what not, and obviously my lights have been dimming, the power line to my amp is 0/1 AWG same with the ground wires

i have read many many posts and have come to these conclusions

1) i probably need a high output alternator 120-150 Amps (how much will this cost? is this something i can do myself??? if so anyone got a diagram or somewhere i can get the alternator from???)

2) I need to upgrade my alternator wires as well as my grounds for my engine ( where can i find 0/1 guage wire to upgrade these wires with???anyone got a step by step guide on all the wires or is it pretty much straight forward on how to do it (havent really looked to be 100% honest))

3) i probably need a new batery, something like exide xtreme or optima yellow top (any suggestions)

is there anything else im missing? if so please let me know, im driving a 95 integra rs, i think stock alternator is like 60 or 80 amps ....... anyways if anyone could help me i would really appreciate all the help.

Before you throw money at it, try redoing your ground wire. That sounds like a bad ground. Also redo your factory ground under the hood. If that doesn;t fix it, check the voltage coming out of your alternator. If you don't have at least 13 volts, a new alternator is needed. With a new alternator, you should get 14.4 volts.

When the engine is running your should have at least 14 volts at the battery.

Start by replacing those two. Then run another wire form the cylinder head to the block. Just use any bolt. Use good quality wires though. There are kits for this, but they cost ten times what the components are worth. Run another from the block and the head to the body of the car. Fender bolts are a good spot. Do this in adition to the factory frame ground. I gained 4 hp and 3 ft/lbs of torque by doing this to my VW. This may not sound likee much, but when your car weighs 2000 pounds, 4 hp at the wheels is a big difference. I can't remember the company who sells these kits maybe someone on TSR knows and can post it for you.

NOTORIOUS VR will become famous soon enough
How old is the car? It's possible that the alt. isn't up to the job anymore... I just checked out the specs of the amp, and 800W RMS (so they say) isn't all too too much... So, I would say, have a load test done on u'r electrical system... possibly get u'r alt referb'd, and buy a yellow top dry cell batt.

Also, you could invest in a 2uf Capacitor.

You shouldn't need to upgrade any wiring for that setup... I personally think you went WAYYYY overboard with the 0/1 guage wire for the amp.
