Stupid mechanic
The GP has been at a shop for a month and a half (no start, and I didn't have the diagnostic tools to check the ecm, and didn't want to buy one to test with) they get it started, and say "it gets a miss when it gets warm, we can't figure out why" I ask if they checked the ignition module (most common cause of a hot engine miss)and they say " why would that cause a miss" I told them put it back how they found it and bring it to me (turns out the pcm is toast as well as the module) They replaced plugs becasue it had " the wrong heat range" I told him don't touch teh plugs since they would not cause the problems it was having, they put a pcm in and it started right up.How cxan these twits be called mechanics? I am just glad I don't ahev to pay for it. They told me the day I brought it in it would be done the next day, or at lkeast an estimate, tehy tell me a week later when I go up and try to find out what's going on, that the crank sensor has no signal (car was sitting in teh middle of their lot so I pretty much know it wasn't looked at well) I asked how long, he said the part would be there that afternoon, the following week I check again he says teh harness for the cam sensor is bad, and the part is on order (I checked the harness on both and they have not been messed with) then he says the alarm is causing the no start, and the air intake killed the pcm (more air over the thing must be bad especially since it's been like that since '98)really makes me wish all my tools were here instead of in MI.

That sucks.. I believe they take way too long sometimes to fix some ****. Adric's jeep has been in the garage for a month or more, and they still wont be done til next week.. They should just fix it, and get on with the next project.. Not accumulate all the $ in the world.. a-holes.

what's great is I told him I won't pay for any parts for the rough idle. I wanted it to start and that was all (if I knew he was going to take this long I could have thrown some junkyard parts at it and found the problem)
