That's yet another reason I don't drive auto's. I want to have control of what my car's doing.

plus manuals are way more fun to drive........and if you can shift then you have nothing to worry about when it comes to being consistant.

Yes they are MUCH more fun to drive. Even if you're good auto's will be more consistant but that's because you're doing less. If you want to be even more consistant you'd have a car that controls the throttle as well but the more you take out of the driver's control and give to the car the less of a sports car it really is.

exactly......its no fun to just hold a car on the floor and steer. you have to have some sort of control in what the car does.

a stick will not ever be very consistent because unless you know exactly what your shifting at EVERY time it will be different, plus the most experienced driver can still miss shifts for any stupid reason at all. Sticks are for fun and street, autos are for racing and normal cars.

I said auto's are more consistant, I also said it would be even more consistant if the car took over the throttle as well as the shifting. How many people here don't drive their Camaro's every week? So really no one here has a race car but a daily driver that they race every now and then.

a manual will always lose time at shifts and it takes time for your mind and eye to see the lighht then shift why do you think the pros all use autos or air shifters?

i know this, but still.....i've seen plenty of guys run with manuals and they were rather consistant. But yes...automatics are, in most cases, more consistanr, i'm just sayin its more fun to drive a manual.

You guys can put your Camaro's in D with the little circle around it like my mom's minivan and I'll keep my six speed and clutch.

yea, you guys can try to rip through your gears as fast as you can while i stomp my gas pedal and chirp through the gears with no effort.lol j/k. i know what u guys mean but its just preference and opinion. If i get a car with a stick, great that wil be fun, if i get an auto at least i know how to make it more fun.lol

I prefer the auto, but I like playing in a stick, just everyday driving I hated my stick (it was Atlanta not a place for a stick in traffic an auto never gets out of first)
