engine speed increases with no increase in vehicle speed?

this is the problim i'm having with my 89 honda accord dx two door with bond headlights, i also have a stuck idle valve

If it's at high RPM, it's probably because you maxed out the power band. If not, then check your transmission for slipping, or if a stick shift check the clutch.
