i have read a few different articles on this, however i have never found and real statistics, so typically speaking how much increase in mpg would you expect to see by adding 1st or 2nd gen civic hybrid wheels to a non hybrid honda? anyone have any real experience?

Adding different wheels to your car will not help the gas mileage, unless you have over sized tires now. It's the motor that burns the gas. I drive a Honda accord. The best thing to do is to make sure the tire pressure is right, and drive slower. I drive 120 miles per day round trip for my job. If I drive 10 miles per hour slower, in two weeks time I have saved almost a full tank of gas. Try it if you doubt me.
