the trans went clunk and now the thing wont move. both axels are ok is there a chain drive in the trans or something.

NO but the automatic has a computer for the trans. If it is that I'm sure they have a test for that. Otherwis its going to be a replace or rebuild job. Also don't know if yours is an auto or manual trans. Anyway if you want it fixed check it out on ebay. They have complete trans of either kind new or rebuit. they even have the computers.
