b20vtec

i know there have been a lot of questions about b20vtecs, im getting a 2001 crv block from a buddy of mines...i just had a couple of questions...

1. 2001 cr-v is the B20z rite??? cant seem to find it on the engine and chassis code section

2. a 2000 B16a2 head will fit on this block no problems?? i heard that becaues of the b20z's high compression pistons they would hit the bottom of the head...is that true??

3. the b16 head im getting might need some machining...can anyone recommend a place within the GTA thats creditable???

thanks for looking!!! appreciate it

IntegraMark has a spectacular aura aboutIntegraMark has a spectacular aura about
1. yes
2. yes it'll fit and no the pistons wont hit the head or the valves with stock internals unless the timing is out of whack. if you put really high compression pistons and more aggressive cams then it's something to look out for. also depends on how much you shave the deck and the head.
3. Canadian Cylinder Head. look them up in the yellow pages. they do great work and have a great rep.

1. yes
2.Yes and no. The head is a direct bolt on but there are somethings that need to be changed so allow oil to flow to the vtec head.
3.Another shop which i personally prefer is mississagua engines.
